Great pies, worth the short detour from the highway. Tasty and filling.
Very disappointed due to their unnecessary waste of plastic packaging. Wraps and rolls do not need plastic packaging. This has to be the only bakery or cafe Ive ever heard of that uses so much plastic. They need to come in paper or more cleaner options. Especially being so close to the Great Barrier Reef and precious marine ecosystems. It's the responsibility of us all including small businesses to choose better alternatives - not choose stupid options which are worse. Very irresponsible to not consider the impacts of your choices. If I knew I wouldn't have come here. This is why I'm giving a definite 1 star until this is changed. Secondly, with the high prices you pay for a simple pie ($7) or roll, you expect cleaner packaging. It's unjustifiable.
A place of respite in Bowen: outdoor seating, nice breeze to counter the heat, clean and fresh looking, lovely staff... and... nice coffee. Plus you get your cinnamon scroll with a hydrangea!
