Excellent B&B overlooking just about the whole of Bowen. Clean, comfortable and well presented rooms. The hosts couldn't do enough for us and it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. A good breakfast included in the stay only added to the pleasant experience.
Stay away from this place.We were welcomed by friendly smiles which then turned into a very hostile and unwelcoming attitude. We were shown our room and the common areas including the dining and living areas and the terrace which we therefore assumed we could use. Our room did not have a desk or table to use a computer so we used the dining table in the common area. At night when we were using the computer in the dining room the old german owner came and suddenly switched all the lights off and told us to leave since the common area is not for guests to use. We found this to be extremely rude since there was no mention of this rule before particularly when we were show these areas upon our arrival. We never encountered such rude behavior anywhere in the world. There is a fully equipped kitchen which is however also not for guests to use.The breakfast was below standard.Their website says that the rooms have private ensuites but our room had a common bathroom across the corridor - for the same price.Our room was affected by noise from the adjacent water tower.The female owner woke us up when they threw rubbish in the rubbish bin located outside our window before 6 am each morning.Their website has shown an incorrect price for the accommodation.
